Gentlemen:

I telegraphed you to-day that I had sent a Draft to you on Messrs Barney, Morgan & Co., New York City, for Five Thousand Dollars ($5000) which Draft please find enclosed.

H. B. Clawson, Esq. has just returned from your City, and he informs me of the kindness that he received from you and the accommodation which you extended to me through him as my Agent. Be pleased to accept my thanks for your courtesy.

The balance due on the Drafts drawn by Mr. Clawson I will forward to you in a few days. I remain,
