Dear Sir:

Your favor of the 29th ult., in which you proffer to come out here and sink an Oil well.

What is the size of the Wells that you sink for this purpose, and what is the cost?

I am not in the Oil business, neither do I wish to enter into it; but there is Oil is here, and there may be others here who would like to know what the expense of sinking a well would be. This is my motive in making these inquiries.
