Dear Sir:

Your favor of to-day's date on the subject of the building for the Post Office, has just been received.

I do not think that Messrs. Eldredge & Clawson will insist upon having the five (5) feet of which you speak when they are made acquainted with the wants of the Post Office. Upon this point I do not anticipate the least difficulty. The materials for the front extension are being gathered, and when we commence the work, we want to complete it very quickly. When the work is done I think you will be satisfied with it.
