October 15th, 1866.

Mrs. Mildred E. Randall,
Laie, Oahu, Sandwich Islands.

Dear Sister: As your husband is on the point of starting to the Islands I take the opportunity of writing a few lines to you, believing that it will be a satisfaction to you to know that your faithfulness and diligence in staying there after your partner returned returned home and doing all the good that you could to benefit the people and help the Mission, is appreciated, and we feel to bless you therefor.

You are now released to return home with Brother Randall, and may the blessings of the Lord rest upon you in your <journey> home, that you may have a pleasant voyage on the Ocean and a prosperous trip on the Plains and reach here in peace and safety.

Your Brother,

Brigham Young
