Dear Sister:

Bishop Willis' letter and your own on the subject of a divorce were duly received, and a paper submitted to Bro. Geary to sigh. He afterwards came and saw me upon the subject, and, at my request, wrote his wishes and feelings to me in a letter, which I wished that I might have something tangible to act upon. He acknowledges that he has done very wrong in his treatment of you, that he has indulged in <unjust> aspersions of your virtue, and that these have been long-continued and that his suspicions were entirely
unjust and wholly without foundation. He expresses his willingness to make any reparation in his power for the wrongs he has committed. Your better course, I think, will be to accept his acknowledgements and be reconciled forthwith. You can not do any better anywhere else.

Your Brother,

Brigham Young
