Gentlemen:
The bearer of this letter, Nathan Davis, Esq., visits the East on business connected with the purchase of machinery, &c. for companies in this Territory, and I most cheerfully and cordially recommend him to be kind attentions and confidence of Machinists, Engineers, and all classes with whom he may be brought into contact.

He is a gentleman who, I take pleasure in stating, is one of our most reliable and thorough citizens, and enjoys the respect and esteem of all who are acquainted with him.
