Elder Wm Garner, Sen.,

Dear Brother:

Your favor of the 23rd. ult., about the canals that you have in contemplation, has been received.

Anything that yourself and the brethren are disposed to do, in taking out the water I would be glad to have you do. It is pleasing to me to hear of the people taking any measures to get out the water and bring the land into cultivation; but so far as wanting any interest in these canals myself, I do not. I have so much other business that requires my attention that I must confine my attention to it.

With love,

Your Brother,
Brigham Young
