You have been selected to fill the position of Bishop over the settlement of Fort Ephraim, San Pete Co., in the stead of Bishop Co. G. Edwards, who has been released from the duties of the position, at his own request, on account of his failing health.

You will please, therefore, make your arrangements to take charge of the Tithing Office and other business there are as early a date as practicable, but do not wish you to be ordained.
