Dr. Sir:-

On the 16th inst I drew Check on you favor W. H. Hooper, for Two Thousand Dollars ($2000.#) current Funds which I shall be obliged if you will please pay on presentation.

I now forward my Account which please find enclosed, showing a balance due to me at date of Fiftytwo Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty eight 25/100 Dollars ($52888.25) This Account as now rendered should draw interest from and after the first of the present year 1867.

I shall still keep drawing drafts on you. I shall probably draw again in favor of Hon. W. H. Hooper, M. C. from Utah, and I should be pleased if you could see Mr. Hooper and have a talk with him:-- and hope you will take an early opportunity of forwarding the shares in the Telegraph Stock as shown to be due to me
