Dear Bro:

Your favor of the 22nd March has been received. I wrote as follows, to Bro. Charles Woodmansee on this subject nearly two years ago: "I have stated that I do not want the land if you will occupy it and make good use of it. I never did want it for myself; but to let the poor have it to cultivate. You can go ahead and dispose of it to suit  yourself." My feelings are the same to-day respecting this land.
