Dear Bro:

Father Gould's wife has been counselled to take care of him and make him as comfortable as she can, and she expresses her willingness to do so. His property and claims should be respected; will you look after them & His vacating his ranch on account of Indian difficulties does not deprive him of any rights of improvement and possession he had before It will be better for him to come up to Parowan and live with his wife there. She expresses her unqualified unbelief in the charge preferred against him.

Your Brother,
(Signed)
