Dear Sir:

I am desirous of obtaining a settlement with the W.U.T.Co. of the outstanding accounts due me on my contract in furnishing the poles for the new Line from Denver to this City, and have appointed the bearer of this, Hiram B. Clawson, Esq., my attorney to act in the premises. Mr Clawson is thoroughly conversant with all the details of this business, and therefore I do not trouble you with a long letter on the subject, as he can explain every point of the accounts. Can I bespeak your kind offices and aid for him in this matter? Your past kindness emboldens me to ask this favor of you.

Hoping that your health is re-established, and that the future may afford us opportunities of becoming still better acquainted

With sentiments of esteem I remain, Dear Sir,
Very truly Your Friend,
Brigham Young
