Dear Brother:

In the interviews we had with you at Beaver it was intimated that you would be requested to suspend your labors in preaching to the people. We now take this opportunity to state to you our wishes in writing.

Until you receive further instructions from the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve it is our request that <you stop> your labors in the Ministry among the people and cease all preaching in public and in private, and especially be silent respecting those erroneous and false doctrines which have been condemned by the First Presidency and the Twelve.

It will be well for you to confine your labors to providing for and sustaining your family. By engaging in business that will employ your head and your hands, health of mind and body will attend you, and you will not have time to indulge in vague imaginations and theories, but will become more practical and conversant with the actual affairs of life.

In giving you this counsel we do so for your own good and the good of the cause of God, which we have so much at heart.

We remain your brethren

(Signed
