Bishop John Rowberry,
Tooele, City,

Dear Brother:

I have received a letter from Hannah Gordon, the daughter-in-law of the old people who were murdered in Skull Valley in the fall of 1865. She is in want and has a large family of children to support, her husband having gone north some time ago and left her to struggle for herself. She has heard nothing from him. These children are the heirs of the old people. She states that there were three hundred dollars in clothing, and one hundred dollars in money left, and she would like to get whatever is coming to the heirs to help to sustain herself and them.

I understand that the Gordons were indebted to the P.E. Fund; this should be settled out of the estate. What is the condition of this affair? Let me know

With love, I remain
Your Brother
