Dear Brother: Enclosed please find a statement made by a young man named Morgan James. You probably understand it perfectly. I would like to know the facts in the case, and whether you have proofs that he did steal the articles of which he has been accused. It is better for ten persons who are guilty to escape punishment than for one innocent person to suffer wrongfully. Write to me and let me know what you can on this subject as early as possible.

With love Your Brother

Brigham Young
