President's Office
Gt. Salt Lake City,
June 8/67.

H. Peck, Esq.
Malade City, I.T.

Dear Bro:

Your favor of May 29 has been received. I have spoken with the President in relation to the Compass and Chain; but he does not seem to have any recollection or knowledge about it, and he does not wish to say anything to Bro. Rich about giving it up, as they probably need it in that Valley for their purposes.

I presume there would be no objection to your getting them from Bro. Rich, if you could correspond with him on the subject and he could spare it.

With kind regards I remain Your Bro.

Geo. Q. Cannon
