Dear Brother:

Your favor of May 31st has just come to hand. I should have no objections to you getting on paper and press for publishing such a sheet as you speak of, if you can do so without going into debt, and should publish under the superintendence of Brother Orson Hyde. The great objection to such enterprises is, that frequently, debts have to be incurred, and those who engage in them are hampered and distressed. You know your circumstances, and are in a position to form a good idea of what can be done with a press if you obtain one.

With love and praying the Lord to bless you

I remain
Your Brother

Brigham Young
