Dear Brother

Your favor of the 26th May has been received. Your letters to "La Liberte" are no doubt very interesting to the readers of that journal, and will have the effect of correcting misrepresentations and giving them a better idea of us and our institutions than they would be likely to acquire by the perusal of letters published, as they generally are, by correspondents not of our faith.

Enclosed please find forty ten-cent stamps, and forty three-cent. In the package which takes the Deseret News I will send you enclosed some fine letter paper. By telling the agent of the "News" that you are expecting some letter paper in his package he will know what to do with it when he receives it, as we shall send it without any address.

I am pleased to hear of your success in grape culture and hope that your most sanguine expectations may be gratified.

Praying the Lord to bless you I remain
Your Brother
