Mr. Nathan Young,
Care of Messrs. Hall & Allen,
Burrowa St, Young,
New South Wales.

Dear Nephew:

I have received two letters from you recently; the first under date of the 18th February, the next, dated March 18th; the latter of which I received a day or two ago. It is so long since we heard from you that it seems scarcely possible that you are yet alive. Your letters are so vague, not mentioning the names of your brother and sister and other relatives that we can scarcely persuade ourselves yet that you are the Nathan Young whom we knew. Your brother is married and has several children, your sister is married also and has a large family. Your mother is still living, and there have been no deaths in the family of late. From your lengthy silence we had almost imagined that you had forgotten us. I would like you to write me what you recollect about your connexions and their names, and I would also like to receive a brief account of your birthplace, age and your mother's connexions, and should be pleased to hear from you some account of your travels.

We are all glad to hear from you and should be glad to have you carry out the determination which you express in your letter, of coming to this country. When we came here this was a desolate wilderness; but under the blessing of the Lord we have made it blossom as the rose and our people are more comfortably situated than they have ever been since our first organization

The family all join <in> love to you.

I remain Yours

Brigham Young
