Dear Sir:

Your letter of May 30th, asking information with regard to the prospects of a physician in this city has been received. We have a number of gentlemen of your profession here at the present time, many of whom find it somewhat difficult to maintain themselves in the practice of their profession. Our community is very healthy and seldom require the services of a physician. Gentlemen connected with our people, who belong to the Medical Profession, have, in numerous instances, been compelled to turn their attention to other branches of business to procure for themselves a respectable livelihood.

Respectfully

Brigham Young
