President's Office,
Gt. Salt Lake City,
August 8th /67.

Bishop C.W. West,
Ogden, Weber Co.

Dear Brother Chauncey:

The names which you sent down are all approved by the President, and the brethren will be notified when they are wanted. We can not tell exactly how many there will be in the President's company on the northern visit; but the presumption is that it will be tolerably large -- as a number of the Gentile friends are invited. The company will leave Kaysville on Tuesday morning <(Sept. 3rd)> and drive to Ogden for 10 o'clock meeting; remain there Wednesday, the 4th, and leave on Thursday, the 5th. The President would be pleased to have the brethren who wish, accompany him North; but from Cache over they will probably want food and bedding, and should take it along.

With love I remain Your friend & Bro.

Geo Q. Cannon
