Dear Brother:

I have received a letter, of which the following is a copy, from a Mr. S. L. Knight of Kanakee, Ill's.

Dear Sir:

I take the liberty to ask you if you will write me and let me know if you can tell me something of the family of Vinson Knight who died at Nauvoo, Ill's. Are any of them living, the widow or children. Is the widow living, if so is she married again, if married what is her name. If any daughters what are their names? If son what is his Christian name? I am the brother of Vinson Knight and am very anxious to find out what members of the family, if any, are still living.
