Dear Brother:

Before giving a definite reply to your inquiry about settling on the lots of Scipio, I should want to know the size of the City lots, and whether one man will own a number of lots and cause the houses to be widely scattered. If the City lots are not too large, and one man owns one lot only, and the people do not built too closely together, then the movement would not be so objectionable.

With love
Your Brother,

Brigham Young

P. S.
They could take up a block and settle it and then another block and so on, then they would be close together and could assist one another in case of emergency
