Dear Brother:-

Since my last letter we have dwelt in peace, nothing of especial importance has transpired, to mar our happiness. Still the wicked are at work but we know that the battle for the supremacy will not end until Jesus puts all enemies under his feet. Troops are quiet, and regenerators are willing to act, but they can find no occasion on which to bring a pretext, for the Lord has foiled them at every point and turned their weapons against themselves

The Saints are non-suspecting and too apt to judge a man by his outward seeming, but our heavenly Father is ever on the alert. The circular which appeared in the "Evening News" and "Daily Telegraph" a few days since, would be regarded in a manner, has opened the eyes of the people in relation to the sacred Mission which the self-sacrificing martyrs are to perform amongst

They could not have done a better thing for this people for some who had become a little careless now have a realizing sense of their danger and are willing to hid themselves.

I would like you to send me the circulars published by the company who have put a line of steamers between your City and the Sandwich Islands, and if they have issued no deffinite information respecting the size of steamers, tonnage, length, rate of speed, consumption of coal on trip and per day, the time of departure and arrival, and the time occupied in making the voyage between your city and the port at which they touch on the Islands, <please send me> such information as you may be able to gather on these points.

The health of the people is improved of late although some few children are still afflicted with sore throats, and complaints incident to teething.

Praying the Lord to bless you,
I remain Your Brother in Christ.
