Dear Sir:-
Your favor dated 23rd ult lies before me and in answer I may say that we have several Woollen mills in this Territory; they would do an excellent business providing the supply of wool was more abundant.

This is considered by many one of the best sheep growing countries in the world but people have cared very little for their flocks hence the mills which are now in the Territory are poorly supplied with the raw material. In consideration of these facts I can advise no one to invest capital in a business where the prospects are so uncertain

Very Respectfully
Brigham Young
