Dear Brother:-

Your letter dated 17th inst has been received.

So far as I am concerned you are at liberty to make the tour you speak of but I would advise you to not lead others away.

I shall pray that you, nor any others, be they Jew, Gentile, or mormon may succeed in finding gold within the limits of this Territory or near any of our settlements.
