Salt Lake City, Utah Territory,
United States of America,
March 9th, 1868.

Mr. Donald Gordon,
Knockie Lodge, by Gorthtick,
Inverness, Scotland.

Dear Sir:

The nature of the Territory of Utah is such that raising cattle, sheep, &c. is far more profitable than depending upon hunting deer and other wild animals; in fact there is but little game here, and that is left for the natives to hunt.

For information touching the faith and doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I take the liberty of referring you to Mr. Franklin D. Richards, 42 Islington, Liverpool, <England,> and to the Elders and members of said Church, many of whom are in Glasgow, Dundee and many other parts of Scotland, and will gladly reply to your queries.

You have the kind wishes for your welfare and your success in your quest after the truths of heaven, of

Respectfully,
Brigham Young
