Dear Bro:-

We recd from your ward pr hand Erastus Snow $405. currency & recd your letter of 3d ult. requesting the persons mentioned be sent for to the old country, We can do nothing about it, not enter the money on our books till you answer the following:-Who paid all that money -- giving every name, & did all those persons donate their money to the Fund? or did they all pay it for & on behalf of those individuals?-- if the latter, we shall send drafts & make no record of donation; and if the former -- the people will be brought out with donation money but of course the parties will be indebted for their passage on arrival & when they pay, the funds can be used again to bring others, & so on. The list of persons who paid money in should be sent to this office at once & if correct when added up should show the above mentioned sum of money.

Your immediate attention is desirable.
