Mr. T. F. Tracy,
Agent Wells, Fargo & Co.
City.

Dear Sir:

In compliance with my contract with Mr. S. B. Reed, of the U. P. R. R., I expect to soon begin work on the railroad in the lower canon of Weber River, probably on the 30th inst.

The nature of the work through that canon is such that it will materially hinder, and at times entirely obstruct travel there. Of this you are probably aware, but I have deemed it but courteous and proper to advise you thereof, that you may be able to vacate that portion of road in time, to neither interfere with the railroad work, nor the regular passage of your coaches by some other route.

Very respectfully,
Brigham Young
