Gentlemen:

Please permit me to introduce to your kind consideration the bearer, Gen. Horace S. Eldredge, who has charge and direction of the five hundred teams sent from here to bring in our this year's immigration.

Any courtisies or assistance you may be able to extend to him, either by furnishing freight, or labor on your road for teams waiting for passengers or otherwise, as Gen. Eldredge may make known to you, will be received as a favor, both by him and all who desire and are laboring for the spedy completion of the great work in which we are engaged, among whom pleae number,
