Dear Sir:

Cirumstances have transpired rendering it necessary for me to ask you to request whoever attended to receiving the telegraph from Green River east, to state whether the poles delivered by Gilbert Webb were received, and, if not, why they were rejected; also what constitutes the customary reception of telegraph poles, whether it is upon their being hauled along the line, or are they only received as they are put up; also whether the poles east of Green River were put up farther apart than usual, and, if so, (why) are they placed so far apart.

Your attention and reply to the foregoing, at your earliest convenience, will much oblige,

Very Respectfully,
