Dear Sir:

Your favor of July 31st. and copy of a Pamphlet have come duly to hand, for which please accept my thanks. The grading on my Contract is getting along favorably, we have a great many hands employed, but not so many as we should have had if their locating had been done sooner. Many of the jobs are completed and the work will doubtless be done inside of Contract time.

As soon as the road is located, there is a prospect of my taking a Contract to grade 200 miles or more West from the East shore of Salt Lake.
