Permit me to introduce to your favorable consideration the bearer Mr. John B. Meredith, whose boat was wrecked on Great Salt Lake while he was in the employ of Mr. Hodges. He is in reduced circumstances, and in poor health, causing the loss to bear heavily upon him, consequently any thing you can properly do for his relief in the premises will not only materially benefit him, but will also be considered as a favor by
