L. L. Bedell Esq.
Cheyenne:

Sir,

Your favor of the 20th inst: is before me. Since its receipt, Mr. Sloan has been seen on the subject of Mr Rose's indebtedness, and he states that he received the power of attorney in due course and that since that time, he has written you several letters, advising you of his visits to Mr. Rose, of the latter's circumstances and the promises he made him regarding payment. As yet he has not received anything from Mr. Rose.

As regards making him pay; he should pay, he has property enough to pay the debt, and can be compelled, by the usual process of law on the power of Attorney in the hands of Mr. Sloan, who spoke of obtaining a judgement on it, when so advised by you.

Your's Respectfully
Brigham Young
