Your favor, enclosing pamphlets &c is at hand, for which please accept my thanks. We have watched the progress of the Giant powder as an explosive material, with considerable interest, but as yet know nothing of its use; I expect we shall soon, as we have a great amount of blasting to do.

I am in hopes that some one will come along here who understands the use of it thoroughly.
