Elder Daniel Tyler

Dear Brother:

The President left this morning for a tour through the Southern Settlement and in reply to your favor of the 9th inst: I would say that we sympathize with the weakness of your constitution, but as a general thing the railroad work requires bone and sinew; Not knowing of any opening of the kind you desire I would recommend you to seek elsewhere for such employment as will best suit the State of your health; if you are able to teach School you would do much good in that capacity.

I remain, Your brother,
Geo. A. Smith
