Brethren:

The brethren who bear this note have come from "North Bend", Sanpete Valley for the purpose of working on the Railroad. They may desire a small contract on your job, or possibly they may conclude to work by the day. However, I want men <and teams> enough on that fill to complete it at the earliest practicable date or within contract time and perhaps we shall send you several more companies of men as they arrive applying for work
