Dear Brother:

Your favor of September 30th reached me safely, I was pleased to read your statement that you had made up your mind to quit operating as you have been.

So far as regards going into business with bro. Leonard, if you at once throw up your present business relations, it has my approval and if you will abstain from dealing with those in this territory who are not in full fellowship with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but like the rest of your brethren get your supplies from the wholesale dealers in the east or from such firms as are recognized as being of ourselves.

By pursuing this course you will have our approval and patronage, but that course is the only one by which you can have it.

Praying God to bless you and help you to put your good resolutions into practice.

I remain Your brother in the Gospel.
