Dear Brother,

In reply to your favor of the 13th inst: I would say that we purpose commencing our co-operative movement strictly on a cash basis, and so continuing for the present; those who live at a distance had better use their capital to establish retail co-operative Stores in the Settlements where they live, and if any have more means than they wish to invest in their own wards they have the privilege of buying shares in the whole-sale store in this City.
