Dear Bro:-

Your business letter of 10th Oct. containing your Cash Statement up to 30th September last came duly to hand, in which it is said that the last previous Cash statement sent from the Liverpool office was incorrect because the Railroad orders on H.B. Clawson given to persons assisted during the past season had been erroneously charged to Miscellaneous Deposit acct instead of to the P.E.F. The apparent difference in the two statements is that in July last the Lpool Office was reported £1737.19.5 in debt, after deducting the notes of the Royal Bank which was omitted to be mentioned in your Statement. Bro Ellerbeck thinks that such an error might arise thro the emigrants who furnished money, as well as those who did not being all furnished RR orders of a somewhat similar form, and all out of the same book.
