To the Bishops & Brethren in the Settlements.

Elder Edward W. Tulledge, the bearer of this note, having become worn down in mind and body by excessive mental labor whilst writing for publication when in the East and since his return for the "Utah Magazine" I have advised him to travel amongst the settlements to recruit his health; and desire the brethren to give him opportunities to preach as he may desire, and to treat him kindly in his travels.

Praying God to grant unto br. Tulledge health and strength, and a portion of His Holy Spirit and to bless him and all the Israel of God.

I remain, Your brother in the Gospel.
