Your letter of the 20 ult has reached me and been perused with interest.

In reply thereto I take pleasure in refering you to Mr John Brown, 2006 North Fourteenth Street, St. Louis, who will cheerfully accord you all the information you desire with regard to the principles and doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as also the cheapest and best way for you to come to this territory, which will probably be with one of our emigration companies next spring.

I have no doubt Elder Brown would be pleased to make you a visit personally should you desire him to do so.

Praying the Lord to bless you with a portion of His Holy Spirit, to lead you to a knowledge of the truth.
