Dear Brother:

Your letter of the 1st inst has reached me. I was pleased to hear that you have decided to settle with your family, and are now actively engaged in doing all the good you can in the southern mission.

Regarding your city property, there was a man who thought he would give me Ten or Eleven Hundred Dollars for it, but he failed to do so. I have since given the property to br Samuel H.B. Smith son of br Samuel Smith

I inclose a letter to President Erastus Snow which you can hand to him, for him to help you what you need to make yourself comfortable in your new home.

Praying the Lord to bless you I remain,

Your brother in the Gospel.
