Dear Brother:

I am in receipt of a letter from your wife, Fanny M. Steers in which she states, that you left her four years ago in a destitute condition, and since that time you have only given her $10.00 to support herself and two children, but has had to depend on her brothers for help, also that you have since taken two
other wives.

I wish to draw your attention to this subject, and request you to provide for your wife; if you do not and can show no good reason why you should not, I shall deem it right to disfellowship you

Your brother in the Gospel.
