Dear Brother,

Kanosh has written asking me to let him have a horse or two, as his are all gone but one, and, nowhere to be found; also some things to work his farm in the spring. I would be pleased to have you let him have a couple of ponies from the herd at Ceder Springs. Harmon may get them up; I will speak to Mr Head about the things he needs for the farm. I have written, telling him, "that the Bishop would let him have a horse or two."
