Some time since I requested you to write to Iowa City, about a bell we purchased here, since claimed to be the property of the Iowa City Presbyterian Church.

Mr Osmond writes me, that he never received your letter; my impression is that he did; please to inform me, whether you received any answer to that letter, & what knowledge you have, as to whom the bell belongs.
