Dear Bro.

I wish again to impress upon your mind the importance of being thorough in your examination of the machinery we want for our factory to run from two to thousand spindles. Ascertain the cost of the various sizes. We want to be able to take the raw material & put it through all the operation necessary to produce the best class of goods. We want Machinery that can be used in the manufacture of the finest broad cloth, ladies shawls, American Wensies, & the finest quality of Blankets & Worsted Goods. I rely upon your judgement & your experience in machinery to recommend nothing but what will give satisfaction.

I wish you further, to obtain one or more plans for a convenient, commodious & substantial factory building, & enclose the same to me forthwith; the height, size, wheelhouse, office, drying house, fulling house &c. Please inform me as as you can where I can procure good pig-iron, suitable for general casting, the rate, &. I shall want a very large quantity

Yours in the Gospel Brigham Young
