Sir,

Yours of Jan. 30th respecting the erection of a hotel in Salt Lake City has come to hand.

We do contemplate such a thing and are soliciting subscribers for its erection.

The design is to build a first class hotel, for the accommodation of men of business, tourists, travellers &c. and that it be built by men of capital, citizens of the surrounding States and Territories who may feel interested, and wish to invest funds in this joint stock enterprise.

Possibly you may feel disposed to undertake this subscribers and if warranted by the share-holders who would probably have to determine this matter, secure to yourself what you have solicited, viz.:-- the erection of the building.

Yours very respectfully.
