Mr. John Hodge
Sec. Mer. Garg. Oil Co.
Lockport, N.Y.

Dear Sir:

Your esteemed favor of a package of Gargling Oil came safely to hand for which I respectfully tender you my thanks.

The package did not arrive till lately & the clerk who received it was ignorant of the letter you had sent & hence the delay in acknowledgement.

As yet I have not tested the merits of the Oil, but will take pleasure in recommending it as soon as I conscientiously can.

Again tendering you my thanks for your consideration, I remain,

Yours with Respect.
Brigham Young
