Dear Bro:

I received your welcome communication of the 7th inst & was glad to hear your favorable report of the feelings of the people & of your operations for their benefit. As to the Telegraph; if you will let us know when the poles are ready & the estimated length of the wire required we will have it brought on with all\ the necessary apparatus. It is our wish that the People of the Settlements should have the Telegraph when they feel that they want it, & we will render them every assistance in our power.
